Students applied through April 17th to bring their portfolio to the Ludington Area Center for the Arts to enter the scholarship competition – applications are on our website and have been advertised.

Member artists display their work for the month of May in this show; the reception is open to the public. We will have a short membership meeting at the reception, and we will purchase one piece to donate to Memorial Medical Center to contribute to their permanent collection.

The event is happening again this year and is open to all area artists, members and non-members alike. Entry forms will be available on our website, at our membership meeting on April 27th, and in various galleries. Call Alayne @ 843-8706 with questions. Deadline for entry is May 13th.

Followed by a short June General Membership Mtg. after the performance @ 7:30 pm

Come and see the work 150 area students produce in our art classes and see the performance. Be prompt, because these budding artists can’t wait to take their work home from the open house and one time performance. In years past the art was imaginative, expressive and wonderful, a must see!
Sat. July 4th – WSAL 41st Annual Fine Art & Craft Fair – 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

A few local food vendors and some musicians add to our prominent local event featuring more than 150 local and national artists. This event is a main contributor of funds for our Scholarship and Children’s Art Exploration programs – so come out and support us – see below for volunteer opportunities.
Sun. July 5th - WSAL 41st Annual Fine Art & Craft Fair – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

*We are looking for help setting up on July 3rd, and especially for volunteers to help staff our WSAL booth at the fair Sat. and Sun., we need volunteers to go around with our water wagon offering water to the artists Sat. and Sun., we are also looking for volunteer booth sitters both days for those essential bathroom, etc., breaks for the artists who are at the fair alone. Diane Hill is requesting some help in the Children’s tent as well – there is room for as many of you who can spend an hour or two as possible. Mon. August 24th – WSAL Annual Gallery Tour & Membership Meeting - 7:00 PM
Downtown Pentwater Art Galleries
A fun night to visit all the local galleries in downtown Pentwater. Passports are available at all participating galleries. Enter to win a gift certificate by completing the tour and submitting your name to the drawing. Drawing will be done during the Membership Meeting at the gathering site of Art On The Town Gallery. We will be giving away gift certificates to the galleries on the tour.
