The purpose of the West Shore Art League is to promote a wider understanding, a deeper appreciation, and advancement of the useful knowledge of art in our community.
Scholarships a finger of our hand in the future of art...
The West Shore Art League's Annual Fine Arts & Craft Fair funds our Scholarships. Each April we encourage college art majors and high school students accepted into an art program in college from our area to apply for one of our scholarships. We ask these artists to submit portfolios of their work and our artist judges select the most qualified applicants to award scholarships to. Learn more about how you can apply for a scholarship in the application at the right.
We are proud to have given a hand to many talented artists furthering their education at many fine schools such as: The Chicago Institute of Arts, Kendall School of Design, The University of Michigan, Grand Valley State University, and West Shore Community College.
The 2012 Application deadline is April 20th.
