The purpose of the West Shore Art League is to promote a wider understanding, a deeper appreciation, and advancement of the useful knowledge of art in our community.
Summer Children's Art Exploration
a finger in the future of art...
The Young Artists Show Off Their Work at the 2011 Open House!
A Children's Summer Art Exploration is a wonderful opportunity for local kids
to take part in a week-long workshop class in one of a variety of the arts.
A percentage of the money made at the West Shore Art League Fine Arts and
Crafts Fair helps to fund “A Children’s Summer Art Exploration”. And, with the
past help of the Holland Area Arts Council and many organizations and
individuals, 150 MasonCounty students receive a week of free art lessons.
Classes are offered in the following areas: clay, mixed media, modern sculpture,
drawing/painting, jewelry, and the performing arts. Upon completion, all projects
are showcased during an Open House. Three to four hundred people usually
come to view the student’s work.
The program has been a success and is one of the West Shore Art League's
proudest contributions to MasonCounty. For more information contact Amanda:
